Who is Zinchem? Zinchem is a division of the R1 billion a year Zimco Group of companies which forms part of the international Ecobat group.Zinchem supplies both local and international markets from a plant in Benoni,just ouside Johannesburg.

Zinchem was founded after the Second World War as a division of Anglo American at the time,to produce Zinc Dust,
which was used for gold cementation in cyanide solutions.

Through the adoption of best-practice pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical processe.
Zinchem converts primary an Secondary Zinc to superior quality Zinc chemicals, Chemicals and Zinc Alloys
in accordance with the highest international standards.


Our product range includes grades of Zinc Oxide, Zinc Dust, Zinc Sulphates, Zinc Nitrate,
Copper Suplphat, and a wide range of Zinc Alloys.Zinchem is part of the Zimco group of companies, which forms
part of the International Group, Eco-Bat.

Companies in the Eco-Bat Group recycle Lead, Zinc, Aluminium and Polypropylene scrap/residues in plants
located in Europe, South Africa and the USA.

• We produce three basic zinc sulphate products for the agricultural and fertilizer markets:

1. Zinc Sulphate solution with minimum 11.5% zinc content in bulk tanker loads
2. Zinc sulphate hepta hydra crystals with a minimum 22% zinc content.
3. Zinc Sulphate mono hydrate fine powder with minimum 35% zinc content.
