John Deere was one of the first brands to present itself on the market in terms of full line, a strategy that today allows it to spread its offer across all sectors of the agricultural-livestock , forestry and garden, professional and hobby sectors. In practice it happens that there is no operational area that cannot be addressed by making use of John Deere brand equipment and/or vehicles, the same ones that the company has always been gradually perfecting and on which it is now working to make them autonomous and therefore capable of operate in terms of maximum efficiency. It should therefore not be surprising if in Hanover the innovations proposed by John Deere focused above all on those software programs that allow us to overcome man's operational limits, ensuring optimized management of work sites in terms of the relationship between costs and productivity.

More usage functions

With this in mind, a new version of the "AutoPath" system has been proposed to increase the possibilities of applications and the types of operations that can be carried out on different crops. Based on the field boundaries and the working width of the equipment, the system automatically creates guidelines for the entire field, including headlands, so that operators can benefit from appropriate reductions in working times. Among the most interesting and in some ways spectacular applications for which "AutoPath" is based is the new "Machine Sync" relay which allows the automatic management of combine harvester unloading. It ensures total and automatic filling of the trailer through the use of a stereoscopic camera.

The combine follows its route guided by “AutoPAth” while the trailer is positioned and driven by “Machine Sync” without requiring any human intervention. Also looking at combine harvesters is the "Active Slope Adjustment" system which redistributes the crop on the sieves through a belt at variable speed during threshing on slopes, compensating for the lateral inclinations of the machine . “QuadRate Pro” and “EzCal” are management programs intended to improve the performance of seed drills, with the former managing and documenting the simultaneous application, row by row, of seeds, fertilizers and two microgranules during the sowing process and , second which instead allows the automatic calibration of seeds and fertilizers for all types of hopper.

Weeding on 24 meter fronts

Also worth mentioning is “Dual. Volt24M”, electric-hybrid technology for the treatment of crops using non-selective weeding combined with banded distribution. The working width of 24 meters and the adaptive applicators allow desiccation, inter-row weeding and weed control, as well as inter-row treatment controlled by a camera which guarantees flexibility and adaptability to different planting widths.

“Milk Sustainability Center” is a digital system that allows farmers to improve the efficiency and sustainability of their activities . In fact, it allows you to monitor the efficiency in the use of nutrients for nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and carbon dioxide equivalent for the entire farm, for specific fields or for the herd. The solution also provides data that allows farmers to compare their performance with that of other dairy farms and identify key areas for improvement.
