Hexagon’s Agriculture division globally launches a new generation of displays, HxGN AgrOn Ti10. With a 10.1-inch high-definition (HD) screen, powerful processors, and additional features, the onboard controller is to add even more innovation to the field.

Ti10 is avaliable worldwide and, according to the Brazilian manufacturer, compatible with almost all machinery brands. Prices depend on the precision of the antenna that the customer needs and the precision agriculture resources included in the display.

Functions performed in the equipment itself
Hexagon says the next-generation processor is able to process both advanced algorithms and synchronisation between machines. This differentiated processing – known as Edge Computing – allows certain functions to be performed in the equipment itself, without necessarily requiring external solutions or sending data for cloud processing.

Much larger record of field data
The HxGN AgrOn Ti10 still has its storage capacity for settings, maps, and logs expanded relative to other models. According to Hexagon, this enables a much larger record of field data. In technical terms: Ti10 has a storage capacity of RAM: 2 GB DDR3 and FLASH: 32 GB eMMC.

Decision-making is also to be enhanced with a camera and audio system with built-in speaker and microphone. This is to increase interactivity and provide greater possibilities of use for the operator’s everyday life.

The enlarged screen ensures greater visibility of information and comfort for the user, besides allowing the display to be used for multitasking, with accurate visualisation of several applications at the same time.

Ti10 display compatible with various machines in the market
The Ti10 display is compatible with various machines in the market. It allows the use of all precision agriculture solutions from Hexagon in a single device: AgrOn Auto Steering, AgrOn Machine Monitoring, AgrOn Sprayer Control and AgrOn Fertilisation Control. The functions are to promote machine automation and real-time field monitoring, generating more efficiency in performing mechanised operations.

This means Ti10 display can include auto-steering (electric, hydraulic and steer-ready models) guidance, sprayer control, subsoiling control, fertilization control, bait control, planting control, planting monitor, machine monitoring, and seedling marker all in one equipment.

“It is possible to integrate all processes — planning, cultivation, harvesting and logistics – resulting in improved use of resources and inputs, avoiding waste and increasing profitability”, says Bernardo de Castro, President of Hexagon’s Agriculture division.

Working with ISOBUS enabled
HxGN AgrOn Ti10 also enables working with ISOBUS, the universal protocol for standardising agricultural and forestry communication. With this technology, there is compatibility of data transfer between systems and software used in the field.

Without the standard, the machinery needs a cabling structure for each sensor and a screen for each implement. With ISOBUS, all excess embedded appliances and cables are eliminated, leaving a single display. “The result is less complexity and much more productivity”, says Bernardo de Castro.

Tractor requirements
The tractor must have a 12-volt power source, and it is advisable that it be a tractor with a closed cab, says Hexagon. Regarding the implement, it will depend on the required functionality. However, because Hexagon has proprietary end-to-end solutions, the possibility of integration covers all the main implement manufacturers in the world.

Main benefits according to Hexagon:

25% reduction in inputs with the variable rate controller
10% less fuel usage
More than 10% increase in productivity
20% reduction of inputs with section control
5% increase in planted area
